1. Who we are

Shenzhen GemDisk Technology Co., Ltd. (“GemDisk”, “we”, “us”) is an industrial SSD manufacturer registered in Shenzhen, China. Our registered office and factory are at No. 3 Rongtian Road, Shenzhen–Hong Kong Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park, Pingshan District, Shenzhen, China.

For any question about this policy or about your data, write to sales@gemdisk.com. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

When you submit the enquiry form on this website, or when you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to send. In practice that is:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your country
• Your company name, if you provide it
• Your WhatsApp number, if you provide it
• The content of your message — for example the form factor, capacity, quantity and application you are asking about

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal data (such as health, political or biometric data). Please do not send it to us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our server records basic technical information when a page is requested: the IP address, the browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse.

If we enable a website analytics tool in future, it may set cookies and record how visitors move through the site. Where that happens, we will use it only in aggregate form to improve the site, and we will update this policy.

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send bulk advertising. If you become a customer, we may contact you about your orders and about products directly related to them.

4. Why we are allowed to hold it

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Your request — answering an enquiry you sent us, and taking steps towards a contract at your request.
• Contract — fulfilling an order you have placed with us.
• Legitimate interests — running and securing our website, and keeping normal business records.
• Legal obligation — keeping records where tax, export or customs rules require it.

5. Who we share it with

We keep your information inside our own company unless a service provider needs it to do a specific job for us. Those providers are:

• Our hosting and email provider — the website and our sales@gemdisk.com mailbox run on their infrastructure.
• Logistics and courier companies — only the name, address and phone number needed to deliver an order.
• Our bank and payment channels — only what is required to process a payment you have agreed to.
• Professional advisers — accountants or customs agents, where the law requires it.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so by a court, a customs authority or another competent body.

6. Sending data outside your country

We are based in China, so an enquiry you send from Europe, North America or elsewhere will be received and stored here. Where the GDPR applies, transfers are made on the basis that they are necessary to respond to your request or to perform a contract with you, or under an appropriate safeguard such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and order information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and afterwards for the period required by Chinese accounting, tax and export record-keeping rules. When that period ends, the records are deleted or anonymised.

If you would like a specific retention period for your own data, ask us and we will tell you what applies to your enquiry.

8. Cookies

This website uses only what it needs to work: a small number of functional cookies that keep the site secure and remember basic preferences. These do not track you across other websites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but a few convenience features may not.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to do any of the following at any time:

• See what personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Restrict or object to how we use it.
• Receive a copy in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent was the basis.

Write to sales@gemdisk.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Requests can be made to the same email address.

10. Security

The website runs over HTTPS. Access to our mailbox and to customer records is limited to the staff who need it, and is protected by passwords and two-factor authentication where available. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

11. Children

This website is intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the website.
